Gauchismo

Gauchismo is a living imprint of the southern plains, passed down through generations and kept alive in its traditions: dance, folklore, rodeos, payadas, trovas, galpón dances, chimarrão, barbecue, and the ground fire that, on cold winter nights, even when wrapped in their pelts, warms the peón against nature’s hardships—rain, thunderstorms, waterlogged fields. After a long day of labor, it is in the galpón that one finds warmth, shelter, and belonging.

Gauchismo is an invitation to all who carry a gaucho soul, even if they do not wear bombachas, for they bear within them the same southern, galpón-born spirit. To be gaucho is, above all, “a state of pure emotion.”
