This single-volume edition presents the complete Zohar in Portuguese, bringing together 52 books and sections translated in close accordance with the Mantua Edition (1558–1560), preserving its organization, internal order, pagination, and traditional mode of textual transmission. From the Introduction and Bereshit to the Idrot and the Sifra di-Tseni’uta, the work explores the great mysteries of creation, the soul, the patriarchs, exile and redemption, the Divine Name, Sinai, Torah, prayer, covenant, purity, holiness, the Divine Presence, Mercy, and Judgment. The translation seeks a balance between fidelity and clarity: it neither simplifies the Zohar as though it were an ordinary treatise nor leaves the reader confronted with an obscure literalism. It preserves repetitions, imagery, parallelisms, and the language of mystery, while essential terms appear with transliteration and their original form alongside the text, allowing the English translation to illuminate the meaning without exhausting its richness. The edition includes an editor’s introduction and analytical afterwords designed to assist in identifying themes, movements, and spiritual keys. It is a work for study, contemplation, and return: fluid enough for continuous reading, rigorous enough for deeper study, and conceived to bring English-speaking readers closer to one of the central works of the Jewish mystical tradition.
