Synopsis

A man who appears to be heavily intoxicated staggers aimlessly across a busy square in Lisbon city centre. Before the police can intervene, the man collapses and dies in hospital under mysterious circumstances. A few days later, a young woman loses consciousness in a gym, is thrown from the treadmill and also dies shortly afterwards. And she is not to be the last victim...

When Chief Inspector Carina Andreia da Cunha and her team come across the first clues, it quickly becomes clear to them that they will not make any headway in this case without outside help. With the support of a specialist assigned to assist them, they discover a harrowing world marked by suffering, deprivation, sacrifice, but also hope. Ich bin Deutscher und lebe seit 12 Jahren in Portugal (7 Jahre in Lissabon und fast 5 Jahre in Setúbal). Inspiriert von der Stadt Lissabon begann ich bereits 2014, Kriminalromane zu schreiben. Mittlerweile umfasst die gesamte Reihe 12 Bände, deren Handlung in Lissabon spielt, sowie ein Kochbuch. Ich habe gerade eine neue Reihe begonnen, die in Setúbal spielen wird.

Bis heute wurden vier meiner Bücher ins Englische übersetzt.

Sou alemão e vivo em Portugal há 12 anos (7 em Lisboa e quase 5 em Setúbal). Inspirada pela cidade de Lisboa, comecei a escrever ficção policial já em 2014. Entretanto, toda a série é composta por 12 volumes, cujo enredo se situa em Lisboa, mais um livro de culinária. Acabei de iniciar uma nova série que se vai passar em Setúbal.

Até à data, quatro dos meus livros foram traduzidos para inglês.

I am German and have been living in Portugal for 12 years (7 in Lisbon and almost 5 in Setúbal). Inspired by the city of Lisbon, I started writing crime fiction in 2014. The series consists of 12 volumes, all set in Lisbon, plus a cookbook. I have just started a new series that will be set in Setúbal.

To date, four of my books have been translated into English.
