Christ's sheep are not the whole world, but those the Father gave to the Son. Christ calls His sheep and they hear His voice and follow Him. The source of all this is God's sovereign choice in eternity past. If you believe in Christ Jesus, God loved you with eternal love and claimed you for yourself.
But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep. My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give you eternal life; they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. That which my Father gave me is greater than all; and from the Father's hand no one can snatch. I and the Father are one. (John 10: 26-30)
