Klappentext

The origin of myths is lost in the night of time. No one knows where they came from, yet they remain alive—fascinating, enigmatic, and deeply familiar. To those who seek literal or scientific truth, they may seem absurd. But to approach myths this way is to lose their true beauty.

If myths are not meant to explain reality, what are they for? Why do they continue to move us and feel so strangely known? It is as if, when we encounter a myth, we recognize something we have always known—without ever being taught.

In antiquity, myths were seen as a sacred language through which the gods communicated with human beings. Their messages were never direct; they required interpretation. Like oracles, they did not give answers, but invited reflection and meaning.

Rather than competing with science, myths open the door to the mystery of living. They speak of fears, desires, and longings—realities no rational system can fully explain. They do not predict life; they expand it.

This book presents a selection of Greek myths in clear and poetic language, revealing their symbolic meanings and showing how their teachings can be applied to everyday life.
