Natural de Recife-PE, sou pós graduado em Gestão de Segurança Pública e Defesa Social. Integrei as fileiras do Exército brasileiro como Oficial R/2 da Arma de Infantaria, onde servi por oito anos em três organizações militares. Após meu afastamento do Exército, ingressei na Polícia Militar do Distrito Federal e fiz carreira até o posto de Tenente-Coronel, encontrando-me atualmente na reserva. Na área profissional, foi comandante de Unidades PM, destacando-se o Batalhão Barão do Rio Branco e o Batalhão de Operações Especiais. Possuo cursos na Academia Nacional no FBI (EUA), no Centro de Capacitação Internacional MASHAV (Israel), no Ministério do Interior da China e no Centro de Criminalística da PMERJ (Brasil), dentre outros. Integrei a Operação de Paz da ONU em Moçambique (ONUMOZ) como Observador Policial. Tenho vários livros públicados.
