Juliana Carvalho é Bióloga, Mestre em Ciências da Saúde pela USF e Doutora em Genética e Biologia Molecular pela UNICAMP (Campinas/SP). Em 2017, sua tese de doutorado foi premiada pela CAPES na categoria inovação e pesquisa. A trajetória científica de mais de 10 anos dedicados ao estudo do câncer também inclui pós-doutorados no Brasil e na Espanha. Publicou diversos artigos científicos em importantes revistas especializadas internacionais. Atualmente, vive em Barcelona (Espanha), onde decidiu usar a experiência acadêmica e o próprio histórico familiar de câncer de mama como inspiração para escrever seu primeiro romance – O Mistério da Rosa.
