Antonio Scharrenbroich nasceu em São Paulo, capital, em 1969. Aos 07 anos, mudou-se com a mãe e os 3 irmãos para Piçarras, uma cidadezinha quase invisível à beira-mar, ao norte de Santa Catarina. Isso lhe permitiu passar boa parte da infância e adolescência com os pés fincados na areia e a alma no mar. Estudou em colégio público — não era nem o primeiro nem o último da sala — e aos 17 anos, quando se formou, cobraram-lhe a resposta da pergunta mais inquietante para um jovem: o que você quer ser na vida?

A partir daí, tudo foi uma linda sucessão de escolhas desastrosamente erradas e maravilhosamente ricas em conteúdo.

Quem não sabe por onde andar, caminha por todo lugar. Então, foi exatamente o que ele fez: aos 35 anos largou a carreira de executivo, abriu uma locadora de filmes, faliu, viajou pelo mundo — sem o peso do fracasso, apenas com uma mochila nas costas —, esbarrou com pessoas extraordinárias, apaixonou-se para sempre, várias vezes, até deixar ou ser largado. É escorpiano, vegano e tem certeza de que fracassar pode ser uma grande dádiva se conseguirmos enxergar que não existem escolhas certas ou erradas, apenas caminhos que nos levam a viver a vida que precisamos viver.

Pode não ser a verdade, mas é uma ótima desculpa para seguir em frente.

Antonio Scharrenbroich was born in São Paulo in 1969. At seven, he moved with his mother and three brothers to Piçarras — a nearly invisible seaside town on the northern coast of Santa Catarina. This gave him the better part of a childhood and adolescence with his feet in the sand and his soul in the sea. He studied at a public school — neither the best nor the worst student in the room — and at

seventeen, when he graduated, someone asked him the most unsettling question a young person can face: what do you want to be?

From that point on, everything was a beautiful succession of disastrously wrong and wonderfully rich choices.

Those who don't know which way to go end up walking everywhere.

So that's exactly what he did: at thirty-five, he left a career in corporate management, opened a video rental store, went bankrupt, traveled the world — without the weight of failure, just a backpack — stumbled into extraordinary

people, fell permanently in love, several times, until he left or was left. He is a Scorpio, a vegan, and firmly believes

that failure can be a great gift — if you can see that there are no right or wrong choices, only paths that lead you to live the life you need to live.

It may not be the truth. But it's a wonderful excuse to keep

going.
