Ubi Raymond (pseudônimo de Ubirajara Ramos) nasceu em 1963. Aos quatro anos começou sua alfabetização e um ano depois já podia ler algumas palavras. Apesar de seus pais terem cursado apenas o antigo ensino primário, soube absorver do pai o conhecimento da língua inglesa, e da mãe, nascida no estado da Paraíba, herdou o rico vocabulário regional. Grande foi o esforço dos pais para que não lhe faltassem os livros e os cadernos, pois acreditavam no seu potencial para as letras. Teve como heróis da literatura ícones como José de Alencar e Agatha Christie. Em 2006 se rende ao desejo de escrever para o mundo, quando surgem as primeiras páginas de Coração de Gelo, e logo depois, 1/4 de Memória.
