Synopsis

Humanity has reached the year 800,000 with practically nothing left that still seems impossible. Diseases have been brought under control, technology has become nearly limitless, and even the distances between the stars have ceased to be an obstacle. When a new habitable world is discovered, humanity finally has the opportunity to start over — on a planet that seems to offer everything Earth once did.

But there is one problem that no machine can solve: human beings no longer know how to live without civilization. On New Earth, there will be no hospitals, supermarkets, cities, communication networks, or the countless services that have sustained humanity for millennia. To inhabit that world, it will be necessary to select people capable of surviving far from everything they know — and perhaps the best candidates will not be the brightest, wealthiest, or most powerful.

Among criminals, farmers, scientists, exhausted workers, adventurers, and people simply tired of modern life, one of the most ambitious experiments in human history begins. On a wild, beautiful, and unknown planet, they will have to discover whether the true challenge of starting a new civilization is building one — or learning to live without one.

Talk to the Author

Deyvson Moutinho Caliman

Minha abordagem autoral privilegia a originalidade, a liberdade criativa e a inquietação intelectual.
