Synopsis

The project Population projections by country, 2025-2030, has as its main objective, to infer through mathematical models what the future behavior of human populations, with regard to the acceleration or deceleration of population growth by countries in the world, the biannual publications bring descriptive analyses such as tables and graphs, and in the inferential part future projections of population quantities for the next 5 years, with regression and time series models. A second objective is to show the picture of the technical decline that each country positions itself at a global level, and what is the impact on social movements around the world.

Territories or countries with populations below 30,000 inhabitants were not considered in the study for these reasons:

1- As the variable under study is populations divided by million, populations below 30 thousand would represent values below 0.030.

2- With very small decimal places, the estimates become inaccurate, thereby increasing variability and fit error (MAPE).

3- With a large adjustment error greater than or greater than 5%, this prevents a future projection from being made.
