The months spent on the island of Verenkai were months of silence,discipline and discovery.The Varjotar family and the noble survivors of Venice learned to communicate through signs,through engraved or drawn symbols,and slowly the vampires learned the language of humans.There,under the northern sky, between dense forests and cold waves,the first bonds were born that would become more than simple alliances:love,friendship,respect.On the isolated island,time seemed to flow differently.The night was long and quiet,and each member of the Varjotar family knew how to control their instincts.Aino and Alessandro,Bianca and Mikko,Isabella and Eero,Lucia and Lauri,all four pairs formed visible bridges between two worlds.Every gesture,every look was loaded with meaning,and trust and love had grown as the days turned into months of coexistence.But Verenkai,no matter how magical and protected it was,could not be their eternal home.After the reconstruction of the wrecked ship,a bold plan was formed:the four couples were to leave together for Venice,along with the noble families.It was a leap into the unknown,a transition from the silence of the island to the hustle and bustle of the Venetian city,from mystery to light,from isolation to coexistence with people.The sea voyage would be a test of their strength,speed and discipline,a confrontation with the waves and storms that separated the north from the south.
